Issues
Protecting our Rural Character
Fayette County’s rural character is who we are. Our open spaces, quiet roads, and farming heritage deserve strong protection. Growth should respect our landscape and fit our way of life—not reshape it. I support larger rural lot sizes to preserve open space, privacy, and our peaceful nature, and I oppose high-density, urban-style development. Protecting rural Fayette County means safeguarding our land, traditions, and way of life for today and future generations.
Property Tax Freeze for Seniors
Many seniors live on fixed incomes that can’t keep up with rising costs. No one should fear losing the home they’ve invested in for decades. Freezing property taxes would help protect homeowners from being pushed out, providing stability, peace of mind, and the ability to stay in their homes. This is about honoring commitment, protecting financial security, and keeping people rooted in the communities they love.
Rural Health Care Matters to Every Family
In rural areas, quick access to a hospital can mean the difference between life and death. Many families know the worry of facing a medical emergency when help is miles away. That’s why the proposed hospital at Warren Rd and Hwy 64 is critical—it brings lifesaving care closer to home. As your county commissioner, I will work with Baptist Health Care, local leaders, and the Industrial Development Board to push this project forward without delay and ensure every family has reliable, nearby emergency care.
Safe Communities
I strongly support law enforcement and believe anyone who threatens our citizens must be held fully accountable. As your county commissioner, I’ll work to improve response times across our 706-square-mile county by ensuring adequate staffing and resources, especially in rural and nighttime coverage. Strong public safety also means empowering families—I support the right of armed self-defense to protect your home and loved ones.
Our Children's Future
When our schools prepare students for careers—not just jobs—we give our children a brighter future and our community a stronger workforce. Tax dollars for public education should go where they matter most: the classroom. I believe in accountability for how education funding is spent, and I will support our School Board in making schools more responsive to the needs of students, teachers, and parents.
Fiscal Accountability
As a fiscal conservative, I believe families should keep more of what they earn. Fayette County has one of the lowest property tax rates in the state, and l’ll work to keep it that way. You deserve a government that respects your hard work by spending every tax dollar efficiently and responsibly.
New growth shouldn’t raise taxes on current residents. Developers need to share the cost.
