For nearly 40 years, my family has been blessed to call Fayette County home. My wife, Angela, and I chose this community as our forever home—a place where we are raising our two daughters on our farm, grounded in faith, hard work, and the rural values that make Fayette County special.

Professionally, I am in my twenty-third year as a commercial pilot and currently serve as a captain on the Airbus 300 and 310. Over the years, I’ve also flown as a captain on the Q-400, first officer on the Airbus, and flight engineer on the Boeing 727. Aviation has taught me the importance of sound decisions—there is rarely room for error and getting it right the first time matters.

On August 6, you will help shape the future of Fayette County. I respectfully ask for your vote for Republican County Commissioner, District 12.

We have all watched the challenges in Memphis and Shelby County—from crime to unmanaged growth, gridlock traffic, and ever-increasing taxes. Their struggles remind us of the importance of planning wisely and not allowing Fayette County to turn into what so many are trying to get away from. With that in mind, I first ran for County Commissioner and was honored to serve from 2006–2018 on both the Education and Budget Committees. Since October 2024, I have once again been serving as a County Commissioner by appointment.

During my time on the commission, I:

• supported upgrading outdated firefighting equipment
• voted to hire additional sheriff’s deputies
• improved ambulance service and rural response times
• backed responsible, controlled growth
• opposed high-density, apartment-style development
• and, as a fiscal conservative, helped steer Fayette County through the 2008 real estate crash without raising property taxes or furloughing county employees—protecting families during uncertain times

My community involvement includes serving as Vice President of the West Fayette Republican Club, Treasurer of the Fayette County Republican Party, and graduating from Leadership Fayette. I am also a life member of the National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of America.

Just as in aviation, good public policy requires careful judgment, preparation, and respect for the people depending on those decisions. That will remain my approach as we work together to keep Fayette County a place we are proud to call home—today and for the next generation.
